Deposits:
To schedule a tattoo appointment we require a deposit of $50-200. If it will be a multiple appointment tattoo the minimum deposit is $100-200. Your deposit carries over to and can be used at your last appointment.
This deposit goes towards the price of the tattoo unless you change your mind and a completely new consultation and drawing are necessary. In this case, the old deposit goes towards the hours spent drawing and a new deposit will be required.
We do not refund deposits. In some cases a Gift Certificate can be issued for future use.
To retain your deposit all artists require at least 72 hour notice to reschedule or cancel and retain your deposit.
For multiple session tattoos all of the appointments will be made at the consultation.
Artwork:
Wendi does not tattoo other peoples artwork. Your tattoo design will be one of a kind and reinvented if necessary. She prefers and gives priority to clients that want multiple session larger pieces 6-30 hrs. Booking monthly 3 hour sessions until completion is ideal. She prioritizes large scale geometric pieces, pattern work, dot work, mandalas, botanical and natural world/nature element tattoos. She generally draws the morning of the tattoo appointment, clients will see the tattoo design at the appointment. Art is not sent out before hand except in special cases. Wendi prefers an in person consult. Email or Skype is available for those out of town. At the consultation she take notes, measurements and asks questions. The artwork will not vary from what is discussed, unless she contacts you first for an OK. Sometimes changes are unavoidable to make a good, well ageing tattoo. If there needs to be more than 30 minutes of revision done on the tattoo design at the tattoo appointment you may need to reschedule, depending on her schedule.
Aftercare
The artist will bandage your tattoo before you leave. Unless otherwise instructed, like when using a Saniderm type bandage, DO NOT REBANDAGE the tattoo.
You can leave the bandage on for up to 3 hours. When you take the bandage off wash the tattoo with an Unscented soap-Dr.Bronner's Hemp Mild is great. Under warm running water move your fingers over the tattoo until you feel the slimy layer go away. Pat or air dry. If using a towel a paper towel is ideal. If using a hand towel chose a clean one that no one else will use. Feel free to wash the tattoo a few times before bed the first night. Wash the tattoo first thing in the morning and after it is dry you can put a thin layer of a unscented, white, water based lotion on it. You want to use as little as possible to keep the scabbing moist. Lubriderm or Curel Unscented are easiest to find. Water should be the first ingredient.
It will probably take 5-14 days to completely heal. If you have tough to heal/irritated spots on the tattoo you can use POLYSPORIN NOT NEOSPORIN on those spots.
No soaking, swimming, tanning or sunscreen until the tattoo is healed.
Saniderm Aftercare
Remove the breatheable bandage your artist has applied 24 hrs after your appointment. It will probably be filled with fluid, which is normal. Removing it in the shower can be the easiest way to do it. Wash the tattoo with an uncented soap. Pat or let it air dry. You can then apply a second bandage that will stay on 5-7 days. If not reapplying follow the instructions above.
Please contact your artist with any questions or concerns.
